Passionate About Helping Leaders and Organizations Reach Their Potential

I help leaders understand how our beliefs and the environments we work in can trigger negative behaviors that can impact performance, results and personal definitions of success. Through simple and practical advice, I help leaders and high potential employees achieve and sustain positive behavioral change.

My mission is simple. I want to help people achieve positive, lasting change in behavior; for themselves, their people, and their teams. And at the end of the day, I want to help my clients make their lives a little better. For nearly 20 years, I’ve worked with leaders at some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated organizations as well as small organizations struggling to keep up with the never ending pressures resulting from constant change, to overcome limiting beliefs and behaviors to achieve greater success.

Individuals in organizations are constantly looking to improve. They are focused on performance and results, and that’s what they measure. Because of this perspective, they tend to focus externally – on tactical strategies and technical training. The problem with this approach is that it lacks the complexity and nuance to take you to the next level of performance, and it rarely results in real, sustainable change.

I specialize in uncovering what leaders want and what's getting in their way of achieving it. This requires that identifying premises, world views and assumptions and creating a way to question those beliefs and help leaders to look internally to what is blocking them. But there are also systemic issues that get in the way of being an effective leader - because of my OD work, I know how critical the organizational context is to being an effective leader, how to help leaders understand that context and develop both the behaviors and the strategies to work through them.

This is what I call, C+O, coaching with organizational context. It’s a way of helping a leader to look internally at their beliefs and behaviors that create obstacles and at the organization in which they operate to understand and overcome the constraints they may not even realize exist and the impact those have on behavior, relationships, and outcomes.
